Emperor Taizhong’s stallion, swift as a purple swallow is the inspiration of the latest turn of a Berliner Weisse intensified with the addition of fresh blueberries, locally roasted coffee beans, and cacao nibs. Its balanced acidity invigorates while its mellow fruitiness soothes. Galloping in tandem in the fresh autumnal breeze with its alter ego, the Red Hare, the purple variant may be mellower but is just as satiating in its complexity.
