Inspired by the brooding feeling of drinking a pour of a storied whiskey, just straight, "Neat" is a bourbon barrel aged scotch ale. Presented unadulterated and unblended, straight from a single barrel, Neat captures the pure combination of the layered malt base, charred american oak and the bourbon aged in the barrel prior to the beer. A hefty 15% alcohol strength gives it a rich base of booze with american oak adding vanilla and honey base notes and finally the bourbon adding dark fruit and spice top notes.
